Resort
Nestled in the stunning mountain setting of the Southern Rockies of New Mexico, Taos Ski Valley blends Swiss/French/Austrian founders' roots with the traditions and customs of the local Hispanic and Pueblo Indian cultures and comes up with something quite unique.
Home of extreme skiing in the United States, Taos' terrain was first tamed by founder Ernie Blake. Its hike-to terrain is world-famous, and while Taos has so much to offer for those with experience, it is not just a resort for experts, having loads of beginner and intermediate runs, and one of the nation's best ski schools. It also has an excellent ski facility, some superb lodges, and beautiful scenery.
TSV remains one of the few family owned and operated ski resorts in North America. To this day it is still run by the founders' children and grandchildren, and because of this long tradition of family, no other ski resort can make you feel as welcome. Until recently, Taos was a skier’s only resort, but is happy to announce snowboarders are welcome!
Taos offers solitude, remarkable natural beauty and bone dry powder in abundance, and the resort includes a new terrain park and a half pipe – so get out there and treat yourself to the Taos experience !
