Winter at Squaw Valley USA is nothing short of legendary. Squaw Valley offers some of the most diverse and expansive terrain in North America. Advanced skiers can tackle Squaw Valley's coveted steeps and chutes while beginners can enjoy wide, gentle runs located in the mountaintop beginner area with views overlooking Lake Tahoe.

Squaw Valley USA also offers incredible mountaintop dining, ice skating and snowtubing along a vibrant apres scene in the Village.

Located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley USA became world-famous in 1960 as host to the Winter Olympics. Off the hill, Squaw Valley’s European-style village offers renowned cuisine, fine art galleries and shopping to suit all tastes. Families and couples can take a spin on Squaw’s mountaintop ice rink or enjoy dinner at High Camp, el. 8200’, overlooking stunning views of the Sierra.

Squaw Valley USA is North America’s Spring Skiing Capital. The near 500” of snowfall each season make it possible for the resort to remain open through the end of May every winter. More and more guests every year are discovering the joy of skiing and snowboarding on the soft spring ‘corn’ snow under the warm California sunshine. Spring also brings the opportunity to ski some of the elusive and exciting runs that aren’t open at the other times of the year.

Squaw Valley is located off Highway 89, between Truckee and Tahoe City, on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, and is just 68 kms miles from Reno, 155 kms from Sacramento and 315 kms from San Francisco via all weather Interstate 80.
