Snowbird and Alta

"...Snowbird & Alta have the driest, lightest powder in North America. Snowbird has terrain for everyone but experts will love this mountain. You can ski (no snowboards) between Snowbird and Alta, these two mountains offer you over 4,700 acres of terrain."

Resort

Not only has Snowbird and Alta ranked the top resort in the country five years in a row by Skiing magazine, but it also offers a combined ticket to ski both mountains – giving you 4,700 pristine acres of light, dry powder snow.

Located a mere 29 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport, Snowbird Resort is considered North America’s most accessible year round resort. With an averages 500 inches of the “Greatest Snow on Earth” per year, Snowbird offers Utah’s longest ski and snowboard season.

Amazingly, Snowbird provides nearly 900 lodging rooms between four lodging properties, 15 restaurants and five bars, Aerial Tram rides, a world-renowned children’s program based in the Cliff Lodge, snowmobile tours, snowshoeing, swimming pools, live music, shopping, adventure lectures, movies, and the list goes on, and on…

New to the scene, and the first of its kind in North America, Snowbird’s new 600-foot tunnel houses a conveyor lift that transports skiers and riders from Peruvian Gulch into Mineral Basin. Located at the top of the new Peruvian Express high-speed quad, the 15-foot high, 12-foot wide tunnel provides a quick four-minute ride to Mineral Basin, making intermediate terrain more accessible to skiers and riders.

If snowboarding isn’t your thing, Alta has plenty to offer skiers only with 2,200 acres of great beginner and intermediate terrain. And if you're feeling a bit adventurous, Alta also provides access to exciting helicopter and back country tours.
