Breckenridge

"Breckenridge is more than a ski resort, it's a wonderful town with many winter activities to offer. They have an excellent Ski and Ride School, one of the best Adaptive Ski Schools in Colorado, and if you're an expert skier after a little more of a challenge then there's some excellent backcountry right on the doorstep. Resort

Sitting at 9,600 ft this old mining town has real character and a relaxed feel, the drive is only 2 ˝ hrs from Denver Airport and makes this a popular resort to stay at. Another advantage of staying here is the easy access to other Colorado Resorts with shuttle buses leaving from the town to Vail, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin, your lift pass will allow you to ski at 5 resorts: Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahaoe Basin, Vail and Beaver Creek. If these are not enough resorts to ski at you can also spend time at Copper Mountain.

Breckenridge Mountain is divided into 4 mountain bases Peaks 9 and 10 are well suited for beginner to intermediate levels. Peaks 7 & 8 has a good choice of intermediate to advanced terrain with the Imperial Express Super Chair which is the highest chair in North America offering some great chutes and bowls for advanced abilities.

Built in 2006 is the Gondola which goes from the town up to the base of Peak 8 in about 8 minutes allowing for an efficient and relaxing ride to the slopes.
Most accommodation is either side of the main street with properties set in and around the Peak 8 area.

With restaurants, shops, bars and nightclubs throughout the town there is something for everyone which makes this an appealing resort for all.
