Aspen Village Info



Aspen was founded in the 1800s as a silver mining town, the ski resort was founded in 1947 with the opening of Lift-1.  Aspen has retained much of that old town charm but now has one of the best apres ski atmospheres in North America.

Attractions and Activities

The Treehouse Kids Adventure Center and ski & snowboard school
Kids of all ages will discover a lot more than the lifelong joy of skiing and riding. From interactive themed rooms for all ages to movie nights, no one is too old or too young to fall in love with this place.

Prepare the little ones to be future powder-riding partners with lessons from Ski & Snowboard Schools. There are classes available for all ages and abilities, from preschoolers to teens, beginners to experts.

Ski or ride with your brood: Hit the family trails on Snowmass and Buttermilk from adventurous and interactive kids trails, childrens race arena and picnic areas and beginner terrain park and halfpipes for the littlest skiers and riders. Pick up a Kids Trail Map for details.

Recreation Centers: After the lifts close, give your family a unique recreational experience in either Aspen or Snowmass Village.
