For nearly 20 years Island Lake Catskiing has consistently provided guests with the best wilderness adventure experience anywhere.

The magnificent peaks of the Lizard Range in the BC Rocky Mountains tower over 7000 acres of privately owned bowls, valleys and gladed meadows, perfect for Cat skiing and snowboarding .

Island Lake is located 9km into the mountains...you are transferred via snow cat, this take approximately 45 minutes - what a fantastic way to start your catskiing adventure!

Accommodation: the accommodation at Island Lake is in three lodges: Cedar Lodge, Tamarack Lodge & Red Eagle Lodge, all located at 4600ft.

Skiing: there are three cats at Island Lake with two guides per cat, one will ski at the back of your group and one at the front. There are just 12 skiers/riders per cat - why not make up your own group!
Your day will start around 9am and finish around 4pm each day with 8 - 12 runs, approximately 12,000 - 15,000 vertical feet.

Level: you need to be a confident intermediate skier/rider with a good level of fitness, the slopes are not groomed but the powder skis you will be given make the transition to back-country skiing easy & enjoyable.
