Beginner
skiers and snowboarders are well catered for in the lower gentle terrain of the Hirafu area. Once your confidence and skills improve, catch the Gondola to tackle the green trail leading down to the base area, just look out for speedsters on their way home!

Intermediates can enjoy the four mountain areas on groomed wide trails. Niseko Higashiyama has some great winding trails and steep terrain. For those who have not experienced ıreal powder before, make sure to venture off-piste into the powder on either side of the groomed trails, you will not be disappointed!

Advanced/Expert skiers and snowboarders flock to the Strawberry Fields area in the Hirafu section which has maze like tree skiing and snowboarding through deep powder snow littered with drops, rollovers and great natural obstacles. Enjoy!

Ski and Board School

Whether youre after a half-day, full day, or seven days, Niseko offers all sorts of catered lessons and programs to suit whatever your skill level and needs. They also have great programs for kids such as The MILO Tic-tac Kids Club, and The MILO Yuki Workshops, which will help them get their bearings and explore the powder.

Terrain Parks

The well maintained terrain park and halfpipe at Niseko are located at the base of the Hirafu Gondola. The terrain park has large tabletops, rails and kickers. Fortunately during the day its not too crowded, as the overall Niseko terrain is a free riders paradise.

On Mountain Dining

The food in Niseko is sensational. The local dishes served in the bars and restaurants dotted around the village include wonderful sushi and sashimi, steaming hot bowls of noodles and broths, delicious chicken yakkitori skewers, plus plenty of western style food for the less adventurous. The yakkitori at Hanks Bar is rumoured to be best.

The Yakiniku Yotei restaurant specialises in Korean BBQ. It is a fun and social way of eating; you grill your own meat and seafood on a coal grill pit in the middle of your table! Choose from finely sliced fish to great chunks of mutton.
