Japan has over 600 ski resorts.....who knew there were that many!

Nosawa Onsen is the birthplace of skiing in Japan and was established  in 1912.....close to 100 years ago!!  Shiga Kogen is the largest ski resort with over 21 interlinked ski areas, these are some of the highest in Japan, reaching 2300m.  You will experience an impressive 80+ kilometres of trails on one lift pass.

Hakuba was established in 1928 and has some of the best advanced terrain in Japan.  It has also hosted numerous FIS World Cup events.

Shiga Kogen
has 21 interlinked ski areas making it the largest in Japan.  Shiga Kogen also has some of the highest terrain in Japan.  Visit the famous Jigokudani Monkey Hot Springs during your stay at Shiga Kogen and see the monkeys soaking in the thermal waters.

The northern island of Hokkaido is famous  for the dry powder that blasts over from Siberia dumping 14+ metres of powder each season.  Choose from the well known resort of Niseko with it's 4 ski areas interlinked by a lift system and fantastic apartment style accommodation, great restaurants and local onsen. 

Nearby Rusutsu is spread over 3 peaks and is renown for it's tree skiing.  Furano has claims the best powder and most sunshine of the area.  Tomamu featured in the Warren Miller Ski Movie:  Playground and offers some of the Best off-piste skiing, along with heli-skiing & cat-skiing.
