"You have to experience Fresh Tracks at least once.What is "fresh tracks"?.This is where you get to take the Whistler Village Gondola between 7.30 - 8.30am and enjoy a scrumptous buffet and make those all important fresh tracks for the day before the crowds hit the slopes.You will however need to purchase a ticket in advance. The Village

Hailed as one of North Americas most popular international resorts the village has pedestrian traffic only along cobblestone walkways. The village has a full of a selection of shops, bars, restaurants and accommodation lining the streets.



Attractions and Activities

Ziptrek Ecotours - This is where you get to put on a harness and clip yourself to what looks like a flying fox.  Fly through the trees and over canyons, while climbing up to what look like tree houses.  The nice thing is you get to have a practice run by the Blackcomb Gondola base before heading out.  Minimum age is 6yrs and lasts 2.5 - 3 hours.

7-Eleven Fire & Ice Show - Every Sunday at 7.30pm at the base of the Whistler Village Gondola,this FREE show has skiiers and boarders jumping through a huge fire ring,fire work displays and twirling fire torches. After the show, head upstairs to the GLC's notorious Afterburn Party.

Coca Cola Tube Park - This is fun for all ages and is open until 8pm daily.Take the Blackcomb Excalibur Gondola from the village to the half way station.There are different lanes with varying degrees of speed and bumps!! You must get tickets in advance.

Vancouver Day  Trip - If you don't have time to spend a day or two in Vancouver there is still the opportunity to take a day trip with a guide to Vancouver.

PEAK 2 PEAK Alpine Experience - Spanning the distance between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, the new world record-breaking PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola is a breathtaking, 4.4-kilometre journey to infinite possibilities. Thiis engineering marvel breaks three world records (1) Longest unsupported span of 3.024 kilometres (2) Highest lift of its kind at 436 metres above the valley floor (3) Completes the longest continuous lift system on the globe.  The journey between the two Mountains provides a 360-degree window into Whistler Blackcombs alpine environment, its surrounding peaks, changing seasons and wildlife habitat, but sightseeing is just the start of your adventure.

These are just a handful of activities you can enjoy there are more such as heli-skiing,cat-skiing,snowmobiling,dog sledding and a whole lot more.We would love to speak to you more about all the great activities that are on offer.

Shopping

Stroll through the pedestrian- only village and browse through the more than 200 shops and boutiques offering everything from high-fashion apparel to hand-crafted jewellery, and from bathing suits to snowboard equipment. Exceptional giftware is on display alongside fine art galleries featuring First Nations art. Or indulge in some of the most luscious chocolate in British Columbia.



Dining

With over 80 restaurants there is catering for all tastes.  Some popular choices amongst our team on previous visits in Whistler village are the Amsterdam Cafe which serves European food 21 Steps which provides comfort food that are both big in portions and flavours for great value. Great for families Old Spaghetti Factory and the Mongolie Grill.  Highly recommended restaurants are the Araxi Restaurant and bar and The Wildflower Restaurant.



Nightlife

Tommy Africas,Moe Joe,Garfinkels and the Savage Beagle attract a younger crowd looking for the clubbing scene.  Buffalo Bill's attracts an over 30s crowd and often features comedy nights.

For a more relaxed atmosphere is the Mallard Bar located in the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and Fifty Two 80 Bar at The Four Seasons.With over 45 scotches to choose from and a selection of beers is Blacks Pub in the Sundial Hotel.



Childcare

Whistler Blackcomb offers fully licensed childcare programs for children aged 18 to 48 months. All of our staff are trained in First Aid and love kids so your children will have a great time. We offer complimentary TELUS pagers so you can rest assured that everything is fine and enjoy your ski day with total piece of mind. This is a fun, stimulating, age appropriate environment in three convenient locations. Relax and share the spirit of the mountains with your entire family.

Daycares open at 8am. Drop off is between 8am-10am. Please arrive early on the first day to ensure you have enough time to fill in our Emergency Information Sheet. Please note: age restrictions refer to the age of the child while in Whistler, not at the time the booking is made. Parents may be asked to show proof of their child's date of birth because of licensing regulations. Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate, passport or medical card with child's birth date on the first day of daycare.
