The Village

Sun Peaks is the cutest on-mountain village; it is styled on a European Ski Village. It is extremely easy to wander the village, everything is to close to your accommodation.  The three mountains surround three sides of the village so access between mountain the village is, I think, the easiest in Canada!

Sun Guide Tours
Looking to have a great day on the slopes at Sun Peaks Resort, but not sure where to go? Our Sun Guides are here to help!
* The Sun Guide meeting location is slope side by the Village Day Lodge. Look for our big smiles and orange coats with 'Sun Guide' embroidered across the back.
* Complimentary tours depart daily at 9:15am and 1:00pm. Please be at the meeting location 10 minutes early.
* Tours cater to all ability levels, and terrain preferences. From the gentle groomed slopes, to the steep and deep, we have guides that can take you to the terrain you want to ski.
NB: Participants must at the least be able to ski or ride green runs with confidence, making strong parallel turns. Sun Guide Tours are not a lesson. Sun Guides are not permitted to ski glade areas or on double black diamond runs with guests.

Mike Wiegele's 8 Peaks Heliskiing Experience
This new daily 8 Peaks Program is a unique heliskiing experience, where a group of up to twelve skiers have the opportunity to ski or board eight amazing peaks surrounding Blue River. Starting with a helicopter pick-up, skiers experience the thrill of being flown to the top of some of our best runs to try the most incredible, lightest powder around.Operates 17 Jan to 30 Mar (weather permitting). First Trax Breakfast - every Wednesday
First Trax Breakfast is exclusive runs off the Crystal Chair for an hour prior to the hill opening, followed by breakfast at the Sunburst Lodge.

Fondue Dinner & Torchlight Descent - every Thursday
Again, you MUST pre-book this, meet at 5pm at the Sunburst Express Chair, enjoy a really fun fondue evening with live music, then a fondue desert before make your way back down a green run to the village " you have a headlamp to show you the way " this is a GREAT experience!  Only available to those who can ski or board down 5 mile comfortably in the dark. Minimum age to participate is 14 years.

Alpine Images Photo Shoot 
Book some time with a professional photographer who will capture you, your friends & family on the snow - great reminder of your holiday!

Other activities include: Dogsledding Tours, Snowmobile Tours, Snowshoe Tours and Horse Drawn Sleight Rides.

Sun Peaks is also host each year to the Winter Festival of Wine, usually held around the 3rd week in January, this is a great time to visit the resort and get involved in the all the fun aprs ski activities this festival has to offer.

Day trip to Revelstoke 
This fantastic trip to Canada's newest ski resort, Revelstoke, operates every Wednesday andThursday and must be pre-booked as it will sell out fast.  Nancy Greene's Cahilty Lodge Shuttle will leave Sun Peaks approximately 7am and return to the resort approximately 7pm to give you a full day at Revelstoke - why not be one of the first to experience this exciting new resort.
Wednesday departure is EXCLUSIVE to guests staying at Nancy Greene's Cahilty Lodge, while Thursday departure is open to all Sun Peak Resort guests.

Kamloops Blazers Hockey Games
An evening at a Kamloops Blazers hockey game made complete with transportation. A private charter will pick participants up at the Village Day Lodge two hours prior to game time, and transport guests to the Interior Savings Centre arena. Guests will arrive at the arena an hour before game time leaving them with enough time to dine at one of the many downtown Kamloops restaurants. After the game, the bus will return to Sun Peaks, and arrive at the Village Day Lodge. Ask Ski Traveller for game details and prices.

Shopping

I love the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Shop, the smell is fantastic - make sure you pop in for a visit, it is located in the Delta Sun Peaks. Sun Peaks has some fantastic ski and snowboard stores, I have spent an hour or two in these stores and bought a FEW items: Elevation High Performance Rentals, Helly Hanson, Jardines, McSporties, Southside Board Shop will ensure you are kitted out with the latest gear. Alpine Images is a great idea, a gallery of images from local photographer Adam Stein or choose to have your group / family photographed at Sun Peaks. Roxys Market located in the Coast Sundance Lodge and Bluebird Market in the Delta Residences provides you access to grocery and deli goods.

Another great service is Sun Peaks Grocery Delivery  - Tracey and her staff will shop for you in Kamloops at the Save On Foods Supermarket and deliver your groceries, wine/liquor etc to your accommodation and unpack ready for your arrival.

Dining

Sun Peaks has a great selection of restaurants, bars and cafes for a small on-mountain village, some of our favourites are below -
5 Forty Cafe & Deli in the Fireside Lodge makes fresh subs, wraps and bagels and serve Kicking Horse coffee. 
Bolacco Cafe in the Coast Sundance Lodge is great for quick coffee and breakfast, lunch or light dinner. 
Mantles Restaurant & Bar is Pacific Northwest cuisine, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, definitely worth a visit during your stay at Sun Peaks, located in the Delta Sun Peaks Hotel.
Globe Cafe & Tapas Bar offers healthy breakfast snacks, rich Italian specialty coffees, a selection of Tapas dishes for lunch and dinner. Mouthwatering vegetarian dishes, a tasty late night menu, and a wholesome, scrumptious kids menu are also available. Decadent desserts and a full wine and cocktail bar complete your dining enjoyment.

Nightlife

Bottoms Bar & Grill has a lively pub atmosphere; they offer drinks specials, pub meals, located in the Coast Sundance Lodge right on the edge of the slopes - after a day on the slopes the access to this bar is almost too easy! 
Mackdaddy's Nightclub is under the Delta Sun Peaks and opens Wednesday to Sunday from 9pm until 2am so you can break out your moves on the dancefloor!
Morriseys Public House in the Delta Residences is a fun Irish style pub. Drop by any given night for a game of darts, test your memory with interactive trivia or watch live sporting events.  Check out Sun Peaks newest year-round hangout.
