The Village

Banff is the main town based on a European village setting although it was originally in the 1800's a small stop along the way on the Canadian Pacific Railway. With the discovery of the natural springs and the construction of the Banff Springs Hotel it didnt take a long before international visitors flocked to the area and still do today. The town is bustling with activity and has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants and activities.

Sunshine Village is the only one of the three resorts that does have some on mountain accommodation but is limited to what facilities are available.
