Since the resort opened on November 26th, more than 17 feet (518 cm) of snow has fallen in Telluride, with 205 inches (521 cm) total.

An overnight storm has dropped twenty four inches of snow at mid-mountain in Telluride, with more than three feet in the new Revelation Bowl, and it’s still snowing hard. The town is abuzz with excitement as conversations focus around favorite runs and epic days, and especially on the new terrain and improvements at the ski resort.
With the finishing touches recently completed in Revelation Bowl and the new lift ready for operation, the fresh snow is a great start for the season to come. Opening day is just three weeks away, and anticipation is at its height with Revelation now added to Black Iron Bowl and Palmyra Peak, opened mid-season last year. “This storm has added a solid layer to the snowmaking already underway,” said CEO Dave Riley, “We’re looking forward to a great year, with new terrain, restaurants, howitzers, snowcats, hotels and air service to continue improving the guest experience in Telluride.”

NISEKO’S ski season is unofficially open after significant snowfalls overnight left up to half a metre of powder up high, with locals hiking up for first runs.It unexpectedly started snowing at village level across Niseko at about 7pm last night and by this morning a solid amount of snow had accumulated on the main runs and on cars and grass.Forecasts suggested there wouldn’t be any snow at village level for a few days yet.Niseko ski instructor Mike Richards may well have been the first skier to descend a Niseko resort this season. After hiking to the 1000m hut and skiing Centre Course, he followed some well covered roads to the bottom, along the way finding plenty of boot-deep powder.“Up top the pistes were fully covered and the roads were really well covered,” Mike said.
“A few bits were sticking on the main runs so I came down on the road but I still got a few turns in.”
