Snowy Aspen

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

Up to a foot of fresh powder fell over night on the Aspen/Snowmass Mountains. Cold temps will be keeping the powder in amazing conditions-come visit us!

Greetings from Aspen/Snowmass

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Well, believe it or not, the snow has begun to fall at Aspen/Snowmass! On August 30th they received there first noticeable snow accumulation high in the mountains. The mood there is great as everyone excitedly looks toward the winter months to come!

Although the ski season is still months away, we would like to remind you of one of the newest programs at Aspen/Snowmass. As you may already know, Aspen Highlands has been considered by many to be there most extreme mountain. Labeled by many as a “local’s mountain,” we find it very important that the large number of expert skiers and boarders that visit the mountains every year can also experience the challenging terrain that Aspen locals have come to know and love.

Therefore, for the first year ever, Aspen/Snowmass is offering free Ambassador Tours every Wednesday in the Aspen Highland’s Bowl! We truly think that these free ski tours of the Bowl will be great  for the many up-and-coming expert skiers and boarders visiting Aspen/Snowmass this season. I know for many the bowl can be a bit daunting at first glance. Hopefully this program will encourage many to make the challenging 30 minute hike in order to experience some of the best views and skiing Aspen has to offer.

The snow is falling, the mood is great and we look forward to booking you on a ski holiday to Aspen/Snowmass!

Aspen Highlands - opening day

aspen highlands opening day / matt powerGreetings from a snowy Aspen/Snowmass,   All four mountains (Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and Buttermilk) are now open for the season! We have had a very steady flow of storms that have made conditions in Aspen/Snowmass fantastic! We have had over 30 inches (75 cm) in the last couple days and our streak of powder days has been great! Buttermilk opened with almost 100% of the terrain open and Aspen Highlands had the Highlands Bowl open for opening day.  The conditions are incredible all over so make sure that everyone knows Aspen/Snowmass is the place for good snow!  Below are some pictures from opening day at Aspen Highlands:

Colorado Freeride at Snowmass

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

LOCATION: Hanging Valley Headwall PHOTO: Jeremy SwansonGreetings from Aspen/Snowmass,

It was another snow and sun filled weekend in Aspen/Snowmass!  We had the Colorado Freeride Competition on our very own Snowmass this weekend.  The competition brings in the best freeskiers and boarders from all over the world to drop huge cliffs and show their skills in skiing technical powder lines.  The results were some huge lines, big drops, and some great spills.  The two-day competition combines two venues, the Hanging Valley Headwall and the Burnside Cliffs, both on Snowmass.  The snow was deep and fluffy and allowed the athletes to push their limits!  If you have clients that are looking for the steep and deep, we definitely have tons here in Aspen/Snowmass.  Here is a great shot of one of the amazing athletes.

Thanks,

Chace Dillon
